The goal of this project was to design a digital watch that stands as a stark contrast to the complex, feature-heavy smartwatches currently on the market. The objective was to create a timekeeping device focused on a single core principle: elegant minimalism. This involved stripping away all non-essential features and visual clutter to deliver a clean, simple, and highly readable interface that prioritizes form, function, and user experience above all else.

The Challenge

The Challenge

The primary challenge was to achieve a truly minimalistic design without sacrificing essential functionality or readability. The difficulty lay in deciding what to remove, not what to add. A watch's purpose is to tell time at a glance, and in a digital format, this requires carefully balancing negative space with legibility. The task was to make the watch feel intuitive and complete, rather than empty or unfinished, all while avoiding a single superfluous pixel or button. The design had to be both a tool and a clean aesthetic statement.

To solve this, the design focused on a "less is more" philosophy by completely removing the handles. The main concept behind the clocks is that "Time is meant to be sensed". You can quickly look at your SenseIT watch and know what time it is, you don't need fancy handles, extra layers of machinery or a bright LED display to get the information you need.
